thank you! hmm hard to say, I played with it off and on for two days... so atleast 10 hours.

I think this is beautiful. I agree with the critique: the jaw needs more work. This particular angle is very difficult because jaws don't have a shadow there...you need to show the jaw sloping down towards her neck. But otherwise, I think it's gorgeous. The eyes are amazing. I can't use Painter at all (I've tried, god I've tried), and so I'm very impressed by it here!

Still mesmerized by her eyes. And the neck..

Something I haven't told you about is her ear. And her hair..I love how soft it looks...a tad fluffy too. But I I think the one thing I especially like is how her hair seems to blend in with the background..
The lil bubble near her ear looks like some kind of earring..pearl earring made out of glass, maybe.

The shading/lighting is excellent here, you seem to take all the colors of the environment into consideration when you shaded this character.

Though, like MimozaBlooming, I feel as though at least one other element is called for, though I don't feel it's a fish. I hate to tell you what to draw or anything, but I think just a handful of water reeds or something of the like waving around above the character and her fishie buddies would complement them so well...

the way you drew the light source above the water is fantastic. End of story.
